Digugu lan Ditiru is a 2015 Indonesian short film directed and produced by Resa Rantianingsih with editor Prio Pambudi and cameraman by Tangguh Al Fatah. The film casts are Mr. Andrianto as the main lead, Mr. Wahyu Budi Nugroho, and Prio Pambudi. The film won first place at the district and second place at the provincial for FLS2N in 2015. The film takes the theme of education, especially about teacher behavior.
The story begins with the introduction of the character Mr.Andrianto as a teacher in one of the High Schools who always play their cellphones when learning takes place. Then continued while in the canteen, students (Prio Pambudi) rushed to pay for their food because the bell had rang, while Pak Andri just ordered food and ignored the bell's sound.
At other times, when class time is starts, again and again Mr. Andri only asks his students to read and do assignments in books. Then, what did he do? The answer is busy with his cellphone. He went out and called someone to discuss the items to be bought.
Then he accidentally saw another class that was doing Javanese language learning. The Javanese language teacher (Mr. Wahyu Budi Nugroho) explained that the teacher must be able to be an example and trust of his/her students. Teachers must be role models in everything. So, he realized and back to the class, doing what he was supposed to do, turning off his cellphone, and becoming a real teacher.
In this film, although Resa does not mention the characters, but the moral message delivered is very deep. Criticism for teachers is delivered straightforwardly and is easily captured. Mr.Andri successfully played in his role and brought an atmosphere to the story. His appearance was extraordinary, like the short film he had played "1 liter".
Overall, Digugu lan Ditiru is an interesting film. This film has a characteristic in its moral message and is worth watching for all circles. Stories that raise the theme of education must be given appreciation and support to appreciate the work of outstanding students.
