"Gendut" is a short film by Eko Junianto and directed by him. The producer of this film is Aris Prasetyo. In addition, this film was played by Bobotsari high school students. Eko Film won first place in the National Short Film Competition held by the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
The film "Gendut" is a little different from the film "Satu Liter". Where both have dishonest sellers, but in the movie "Gendut", the main character follows the seller without knowing the risk of side effects from the drugs consumed. In the film "Gendut" describes the behavior of the seller who sells drugs but does not explain how to use them properly and the behavior of the protagonist of a child who wants to be thin but eats constantly.
This film tells the story of a student's dashing efforts to become leaner by taking oplosan slimming drugs. The story begins when a student goes to school and his father sees it and then says that he is getting fatter. In addition, he got ridicule from his friends who made him want to slim down, so he bought medicine at the store. But the drug did not make it slim so he returned to the store to buy oplosan slimming drugs and herbal slimming drugs to drink. But he took it by mixing all the drugs he bought. In the end he got side effects from the drugs he was taking.
"Gendut" is a short film by Eko Junianto that is very good to watch because it conveys a good message to the audience. This film aims to make the audience avoid consuming drugs that are not recommended by doctors carelessly. To get a good body must go through many processes, can not get instant results. Must exercise regularly and begin to regulate healthy eating with adequate nutrition.
